User Profiles in the Directory module enables editing of User Profile information; which will appear in your organization's Google Apps Directory contact group.
NOTE: User Profiles cannot be created or deleted from this menu, they may only be edited.
User Profile Information- Email Addresses - Email addresses (including primary and alias Google Apps domain email addresses) which you wish to publish in your organization's Google Apps contacts for that user
- Phone Numbers - Work, Home, Mobile, Other phone numbers which you wish to publish in your organization's Google Apps contacts for that user
- Instant Messenger - Instant messaging type and address which you wish to publish in your organization's Google Apps contacts for that user
- Addresses - Addresses for Home, Office, Other which you wish to publish in your organization's Google Apps contacts for that user
- Relation - Relationship or associate information which you wish to publish in your organization's Google Apps contacts for that user
- Organization - Business, department and location information which you wish to publish in your organization's Google Apps contacts for that user
- External ID - Account, customer, and organization information which you wish to publish in your organization's Google Apps contacts for that user
To view and edit a user's profile, first select the user from your user list by clicking on the user.
Adding a Profile FieldTo add a profile field, follow the directions below: - Select the Add button and choose the field you wish to add.
- Next, type in the value for the field that you have added.
- Optionally, change the field type using the drop-down boxes next to the field.
Editing a Profile FieldTo edit a profile field, follow the directions below: - Select the field that you wish to edit and type in the new information.
- Optionally, you can change the fields from the drop-down menu as well, or move the order of which they are displayed.
- Once you have made the desired changes, click Save.
Deleting a Profile FieldTo edit a profile field, follow the directions below: - Select the trash icon next to the field you wish to remove.
- Click the Save button.
