Using gTalk Assistant


Sign into your Google Mail Account. 
     

Add gTalk Assistant to Contacts 

Go to your "Chat" and click the drop menu arrow
     


Click on "Add Contact"
     

Add the gTalk Assistant email that was customized in gPanel and click "Send Invites"
     


Using gTalk Assistant


Select the gTalk Assistant in your Chat menu and click "Chat"

     


Commands

You will now be able to use the gTalk Assistant with any of the following commands:

 directory lookup="email address"
    Searches the profiles and shared contacts for that email address and displays infomation of that user. 
   
When searching for Profiles, the query will include:
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Phone Number
  • Email Address
When searching for Shared Contacts, the query will include
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Phone Number
  • Email Address

NOTE: When typing in the command, please make sure to remove the quotation marks.



When you are searching for a user in your domain, type in the command directory lookup="user email" without the quotation marks. 

     

It will display from the profile:
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Phone Number
  • Email


When you are searching for a shared contact in your domain, type in the command directory lookup="shared contact email" without the quotation marks.

     

It will display from the shared contact:
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Phone Number
  • Email
